Name of the sustainable initiative
Urban Green brings nature into cities by offering unique habitats of native wild plant species. The habitats offer sensing experiences for city inhabitants and additionally attract diverse pollinators increasing the biodiversity. Therefore the concept of Urban Green contributes to several of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) as Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) and Life on Land (SDG 15).
We create climatic friendly solutions in cities where the wild plant species e.g. help to absorb and hold back rain water. The habitats are economically sustainable as they are cheaper to maintain than lawns. You only have to cut the habitats once a year. The established habitats look like wild Danish nature. As they only consist of native plants, they attrack endangered pollinating insects.
