AN EVENT HOSTED BY

The ultimate celebration of sustainable solutions

Our Goal:

To highlight the best sustainability solutions in Denmark, and encourage stakeholders to implement them

Our pilot event, the SDG Tech Awards Denmark 2019 was a huge success, spurring us on to bring the awards show international by hosting the SDG Tech Awards Brazil.

This year, the SDG Tech Awards 2020 will be part of an exciting new initiative called Green Impact Week, in which we onboard an inclusive group of climate actors to join and run events, talks and workshops for one week of events dedicated to re-boost the economy through sustainable solutions.

Benefits

  • Finalist and winner recognition on-stage to an audience of 500+, including other business representatives, politicians, students, experts, business angels, and customers
  • Networking with industry leaders
  • Engaging panel discussions with CEOs, partners, managers, and more

The Process

  1. Our impressive selection committee, as well as the public, nominate companies they believe are worthy of celebration for their sustainable endeavors. Nominations close on 31 May 2020

  3. Nominees must fill out a profile-building form given to them at the time of nomination, due by 26 June 2020. This profile-building form is what the jury will use to select finalists and winners
  4. From the finalised nominee pool, our accomplished panel of judges will carefully select 5 finalists and 1 winner in each award category by 14 September 2020
  5. We will announce the finalists on our social media by 22 September 2020

FAQ

Here you can find the finer details about the SDG Tech Awards Denmark 2020.
If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please reach out to Sophia Christou at [email protected]tainary.org

Can I nominate myself?

Yes! If your company deserves recognition, you can certainly nominate yourself!

What is the selection committee?

The selection committee is a group of individuals that are totally immersed in the sustainability industry, and therefore have a keen awareness of the great work companies are doing in Denmark. They each nominate 10 companies they believe deserve recognition at the SDG Tech Awards. The companies nominated by the selection committee will be added to the pool of companies nominated by the public on our website. Those nominated by the selection committee in no way have any advantage over publicly nominated companies.

What are the requirements for nomination?

Companies MUST be Danish, and focus on one of the following topics: resource management, plastics and waste, mobility, architecture, food and agriculture, climate education and partnerships, health, and reducing inequalities. We accept nominations from corporations, NGOs, startups, research projects, concepts, and more, however, please note that we are looking for specific sustainable projects or initiatives that companies are implementing, NOT the sustainability of a company itself.

What information do I need to make a nomination?

We need your full name and an indication of whether you want your nomination to be anonymous or not. We also need the company name and website, as well as a contact name and email for someone we can get in touch with at the company. Finally, we ask for a short (100 words max) description of why the company is being nominated- ie., what is their sustainable initiative.

What is the nomination process?

Companies are nominated by either the public on our website, or by our selection committee. Once nominated, a company will receive an email from a member of Sustainary notifying them of their nomination, and giving them some information about the nomination process. They must confirm their nomination by replying ton the nomination email. They will then receive an “SDG Tech Awards nominee” badge to put on their website and social media, and a profile building form to fill out in order for the jury to assess them. .

How does the Jury Selection work?

Profile building forms filled out by each confirmed nominee will be sent to our carefully selected jury panel for assessment. Based on the average rating by each jury member, finalists and winners in each category will be selected.
