The ultimate celebration of sustainable solutions

SDG Tech Awards Announcement

Following the advice of the Danish authorities and our own commitment to the safety and the care of others, we have taken the decision to POSTPONE HOLDBART and the SDG TECH AWARDS due to the risks posed by Covid-19.

Obviously, we have not wanted to do this, and thought long and hard about how we could continue given the current situation. However, the undeniable conclusion has been that we can not.

This page will be updated with more information as it becomes available. We apologise again, and would like to remind you of our commitment to celebrating the best, most inspiring and most innovative sustainable initiatives. The SDG Tech Awards are NOT CANCELLED, simply postponed.

The information will be updated below in the coming weeks, in the meantime keep an eye on our social media feeds for more information.

FAQ

Here you can find the finer details about the SDG Tech Awards Denmark 2020.
If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please reach out to Sophia Christou at [email protected]

When and where is the SDG Tech Awards show?

11 September 2020 at TAP1 Raffinaderivej 10, 2300 København
The event is part of Holdbart Climate Days: a 3-day climate festival 10-12 September 2020

Can I nominate myself?

Yes! If your company deserves recognition, you can certainly nominate yourself!

What is the selection committee?

The selection committee is a group of individuals that are totally immersed in the sustainability industry, and therefore have a keen awareness of the great work companies are doing in Denmark. They each nominate 10 companies they believe deserve recognition at the SDG Tech Awards. The companies nominated by the selection committee will be added to the pool of companies nominated by the public on our website. Those nominated by the selection committee in no way have any advantage over publicly nominated companies.

What are the requirements for nomination?

Companies MUST be Danish, and focus on one of the following topics: resource management, plastics and waste, mobility, architecture, food and agriculture, climate education and partnerships, health, and reducing inequalities. We accept nominations from corporations, NGOs, startups, research projects, concepts, and more, however, please note that we are looking for specific sustainable projects or initiatives that companies are implementing, NOT the sustainability of a company itself.

What information do I need to make a nomination?

We need your full name and an indication of whether you want your nomination to be anonymous or not. We also need the company name and website, as well as a contact name and email for someone we can get in touch with at the company. Finally, we ask for a short (100 words max) description of why the company is being nominated- ie., what is their sustainable initiative.

What is the nomination process?

Companies are nominated by either the public on our website, or by our selection committee. Once nominated, a company will receive an email from a member of Sustainary notifying them of their nomination, and giving them some information about the nomination process. They must confirm their nomination by replying ton the nomination email. They will then receive an “SDG Tech Awards nominee” badge to put on their website and social media, and a profile building form to fill out in order for the jury to assess them. .

How does the Jury Selection work?

Profile building forms filled out by each confirmed nominee will be sent to our carefully selected jury panel for assessment. Based on the average rating by each jury member, finalists and winners in each category will be selected.
