Every hero has a villain – what challenges do you or your targeted group face?
It is a common fact that buildings are responsible for approximately 40% of energy consumption and 36% of CO2 emissions in Europe. However, for the past 20 years, a large part of the buildings in operation today have been controlled by the same old, inflexible systems. By using outdated systems and failing to base decision-making on real-life data, it is difficult for building owners to gain a comprehensive overview over the actual energy consumption and impact of their buildings.
What are you doing to overcome your villain?
It is our mission to empower consumer-led energy efficiency through intelligent data management. Our energy management platform transforms and enriches data from energy usage into complex analysis enabling operational and resource savings. Regardless if people use our platform or others, the final goal, to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions of buildings, can only be achieved if everyone contributes. We therefore value our cooperation with both public and private institutions and know that partnerships are the key for creating positive change and making mutual progress.
Who is your hero and why?
Tech clusters all around the world, such as CLEAN, that bring together companies, public institutions and the private sector in an effort to facilitate and collaborate on projects relating to this world’s greatest challenge – climate change.
