Name of the sustainable initiative
Sustainable investing for everyone
DoLand is a Danish fintech startup building an investment platform for the retail segment enabling everyone to easily build a portfolio based on the sustainable themes you want to invest in. Through an easy and guided process, the user selects the investment themes (e.g. renewable energy, water solutions, innovative healthcare, women empowerment etc), answer questions about their financial situation, and then we build a portfolio reflecting the selected themes and the financial situation. The user can then login to a dashboard where the user will have an overview of their financial progress as well as the impact related to their investments.
The majority of Danes, well, everyone, are not very interested in investing. It is difficult and most believe you have to have millions and be a pro before it makes sense. In a combination with sustainability, most stay inactive. Engaging people to invest will enable us to reallocate hopefully billions from companies not aligned with a sustainable economy to companies actively working to accelerate a sustainable transition. Money and investing will be the main driver since everything around us in some way is related to investments. The questions is what we decide to invest in.
